The gyroscope algorithm is very well programmed. I noticed that the watch lights up every time I pull it up to check the time and lights off and it’s out of my sight, instantly. These watch faces are customisable within the watch itself as well as via the Gear Manager app. The dials, layout or even the background colour for the watch faces are changeable as well. There’s a number of choices to choose from, ranging from the classic looking watch face to the digital modern looking one. The choices for the pre-installed watch face is pretty customisable.

The interface for the watch is made for round screen, and it doesn’t feel as awkward as the Android Wear on round smartwatch like the Moto 360 or the Huawei Watch.įor starter, you’ll need to download three apps for the watch itself. If you preferred Samsung’s leather strap (for those Samsung fan boys), it is available in three colours at Samsung official store. Typical smartwatches use 22mm strap but the Gear S2 Classic uses normal 20mm leather watch strap, which means you can change the strap to any of your liking with ease. It passes the normal watch feel and look from far. The size of the watch itself is very small and thin, accompany with the slightly smaller watch strap. It features a rotating bezel to ease up your selection when navigating the screen. It no longer use the rectangular screen like the previous predecessor. The display is sharp and crisp, given the PPI count.
